SLOW CHASM

Slow Chasm is a psychedelic indie rock band formed in 2016 by Avery Storms and Jorge Santos at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. Drawing influences from post-punk, ambient music, psychedelia and noise rock into their jams, the group described their sound as Monk Punk.

Storms’ solo experimental music combines elements of shoegaze and post rock within his five-string-bass-driven songs, often incorporating funk and math rock.


AZALEA PROJECT

Storms played 5-string bass guitar for the Azalea Project, a young band in Dallas, Texas before moving to Baltimore.

Max Poscente (vocals and guitar), Jonah Smith (vocals and guitar), Julian "Paint" Smith (guitar and piano), Avery Storms (bass), Kyle Foster (drums), and Faith Cleaver (Cello).
